Banner Edge out Premier in thriller in Ennis

David Reidy scored 1-08 as Clare triumphed over beaten 2017 All Ireland Finalists Tipperary at Ennis on Sunday last. The win will boost confidence in the Clare dressing room ahead of their next outing this coming weekend.

Tipperary manager Michael Ryan will be happy though as he welcomed back Cathal Barrett to the starting line up, while he also gave games to Tom Fox and Conor Kenny. Clare will travel to Kilkenny this weekend with both sides looking to win their first game, while Tipperary welcome Waterford to Semple Stadium.

Player of the Game: In some good displays David Reidy was the choice for man of the match scoring the winning goal. He also scored 0-08 (0-06f) in a fine performance.

3 Players in Form: David Reidy (Clare), Peter Duggan (Clare) and Jason Forde (Tipperary)
