Currently on a 2 Fight win streak Leah McCourt will be confident of pushing her record to 3-1 on Friday night as she faces experienced Kerry Hughes. Hughes is on a 3 Fight loss streak and will see McCourt as the perfect opponent to have her paw raised once more and move to 500 average in her pro career 4-4.
McCourt suffered a nightmare debut to her pro career back in 2017 with a 2nd round stoppage, however bounced back brilliantly to record a split decision win over Manon Fiorot before recording a debut win for Bellator with a first round stoppage of Hatice Özyurt earlier this year.
Hughes is a fighter with plenty of experience and has gone the distance in 50% of her bouts with her last victory coming in 2016 over Clemence Schreiber. Since then it’s been a loss streak with defeats coming in the way of Zarah Fairn Dos Santos, Cindy Dandois & Pannie Kianzad.
McCourt to edge this one with a decision win
