Boccia Ireland are hosting a ‘Come try me day’ on Saturday 21st of May in the Irish Wheelchair Association, Blackheath Drive, Clontarf East. It’s running from 12pm to 4pm. Lots of fun on the day, with face painting too.

Boccia is a Paralympic sport, related to bowls. It is played indoors and is one of a few sports that doesn’t have an Olympic counterpart.

Boccia was originally designed to be played by people with cerebral palsy but now includes individuals with a range of impairments that affect motor skills

It has been quite a successful Paralympic sport for Ireland. Boccia Ireland are looking for new and emerging talent for the Paralympic Games in Paris and LA.
