Sibeal ni Chasaide Mise Eire… gives Croke Park crowd goosebumps during tribute to 1916 yesterday.

Thanks to Orla Boyle for Tweet capturing moment!

The lucky 82+ thousand that witnessed Tipperary dethrone Kilkenny yesterday will also remember  the emotions young Sibeal Ni Chasaide stirred within through her phenomenal performance of Mise Eire (I am Ireland).

While both teams warmed up on the hallowed turf yesterday,  the background music wasn’t the standard pump up song of the moment played before a Premiership Soccer Match or a Pro 12 game, no it was the truly spiritual voice of 17 year old Sibeal Ni Chasaide singing Mise Eire (I am Ireland) as part of the tribute to the 1916 Commemorations.

Croke Parks massive screens displaying hero after hero of the 1916 Rebellion, while Kilkenny cone-lessly warmed up infront of the famous Hill 16.  The Premeir Soldiers meticulously went through their final drills before battle and were only a couple of feet away from this outstanding performance.

For that couple of minutes time seemed to stand still for the 82+ thousand and you could feel an enormous sense of pride and belonging within Croke Park.

I think we will be hearing alot more from Sibeal congratulations on a fantastic performance.
