Carlow v Antrim, 3pm, Dr Cullen Park, Saturday
Both of these sides are expected to be in the shake up when it comes to handing out the Christy Ring Cup in a few months’ time. Both of these sides have already played against each other twice this year. The first game they played was at this venue on the 19th of February which ended in a draw game, while the second game, the Division 2A League Final ended in a three point win for Antrim, 2-12 to 0-15. So, according to these statistics there will be little to separate the sides. Antrim have some superb hurlers to be fair, Neill McManus, Ciaran Clarke and Eoghan Campbell, however Carlow have some nice hurlers of their own with Paul Coady, Marty Kavanagh and Seamus Murphy.
Carlow are slight favourites at 5/6 for this, while Antrim are 6/5. The odds for Antrim are very tasty and I would be backing them to win this one.
Verdict: Antrim by 2
