D1 Semi Final Preview: Galway will not fear Dublin

Sportstalk.ie will be covering all 4 semi finals from Division 1 & 2 on Sunday through our twitter and website as we continue our dedication to promoting Ladies GAA. Now we understand technically the term Ladies GAA is incorrect but we also will be covering Camogie as well so to us its Ladies GAA.

Having claimed their first All-Ireland Senior title since 2010, Dublin Ladies will be hoping to reach their first league final since 2014 when they take on Galway in Kinnegad. Mick Bohan’s side finished top of Division 1 with just one defeat. That only loss came at the hands of Sunday’s opponents Galway.

Although Galway finished the league in fifth position and outside the semi-final places they qualified for the last four by virtue of kicking more points in their drawn game with Donegal. Themselves and the Ulster County finished level on points (scoring difference doesn’t come into play).

Dublin have talent all over the field and can call upon several of last year’s All-Ireland winning side. Galway will not fear them and having already beaten them this year will be hoping for the same on Sunday.

Three players to watch: Niamh McEvoy (Dublin) | Roisin Leonard (Galway) | Sinead Aherne (Dublin)

Prediction: Dublin
