Wexford 2-20 Waterford 0-19

Wexford beat neighbours Waterford  as David Dunne hit 2-02 in a stunning individual display for Wexford. Davy Fitzgerald will be delighted with his teams display in their first year in the division under his stewardship.

Derek McGrath will be happy enough though as Waterford have had little preparation time as they have been away on a team holiday for the most of January. Wexford will host Cork in their next game, while Waterford will travel to Semple Stadium to play Tipperary.

Player of The Game:  One player stood in the game that ultimately proved the difference in the end and that was David Dunne who scored 2-02 for Wexford in a fine display.

3 Players in Form: David Dunne (Wexford), Lee Chin (Wexford) Pauric and Mahony (Waterford)

3 Players out of Form: Maurice Shanahan (Waterford), Conor McDonald (Wexford) and Barry Coughlan (Waterford)
