If I Didn’t Box, I would Love to Play County

Irish professional and pro boxer Jason Quigley spoke about that he would love to play county for Donegal if he didn’t have a career in boxing.

The Donegal native professional boxing career has seen him claim the WBC-NABF middleweight title from 2017 to 2019.

Before turning professional Quigley had a very promising amateur career, which saw him rise to number one in both the AIBA European and World amateur rankings.

Speaking to Aishling O’Reilly on Wednesday’s PlayOn live the Donegal native spoke about that he would have loved to play for the county if he wasn’t a boxer.

“I have played Gaelic, I have played hurling, handball, soccer, football whatever you call it. I have done it all and have really enjoyed it all, one thing if I didn’t box, I would have loved to have played county for Donegal.”
