Injury worries for Munster ahead of Exeter away tie

Munster could be without three Ireland internationals as well as Gavin Coombes for the first leg of their Heineken Champions Cup last 16 tie against Exeter on Saturday.
Tadhg Beirne, Andrew Conway and Dave Kilcoyne all missed the 35-19 defeat to Leinster in the URC on Saturday. Coombes suffered an ankle injury in the first half.
Van Graan didn’t have a timeframe on Coombes’ recovery but speaking after Saturday’s defeat he’s not confident about having the player for the tie in Sandy Park. The Munster head coach said: “He’s obviously a very important player for us. You saw at the start of the game I thought he carried really well. It’s a big concern for us with what’s ahead. “Andrew Conway, it’s safe to say he won’t make next week. Pretty worried about Tadhg [Beirne] and Dave [Kilcoyne], we’ll wait until Monday and see how they are.”
There is some good news for Munster fans. Van Graan said: “Hopefully, JK [Jean Kleyn], Mike [Haley] and Zeebs [Zebo] will be back in. I’m more hopeful for them but I don’t want to speculate tonight. Hopefully we get some good news because in knock-out rugby you need your best players on the pitch.”
