One man who deserves a lot of credit for his coverage of ladies football is Jerome Quinn. Quinn is a former BBC Northern Ireland GAA presenter but now focuses on online media with his videos on ladies GAA matches.
The Tyrone man joined BBC in 1989 as a young sports journalist after previously working with The Irish News and Radio Foyle. His big break came a year later when BBC Northern Ireland launched its Championship programme. Quinn anchored the show and would do so for 17 more years.
Nowadays Quinn is at the forefront of ladies gaa coverage and is doing brilliantly in promoting the game. He goes to as many games as possible and provides highlights in great quality on his Facebook and Twitter pages.
The Omagh-born Quinn also does interviews with players and managers and attends various other events such as last night’s Leinster Ladies Final media night in Dublin.
Quinn’s work with the various provincial ladies associations has to be commanded and if you are not familiar with his work check out his Facebook and Twitter pages and his website.
Keep up the great work Jerome!!!!
