Meath lay down a strong Marker

Meath 04-09(21) Tipperary 03-05(14)

Meath have laid down a strong marker as their quest to re gain promotion back to Intermediate Camogie Division 1 is now a step closer as they made it two wins from two.

Ray Gavin in this second competitive game in charge has done wonders with this young team, after they put in a powerful second half display against a tough Tipperary side.

Goals from Caroline Quinn, Fia O’ Brien and Lisa Foley  proved to be the deciding factor in this game, and despite a Tipperary resurgence it wasn’t enough on the day and they will now have to go back to drawing board and prepare for next weekend’s visit of Down.

This win means that Meath are one victory away of securing a place in the league Quarter-Final but they will up against it when they welcome the defending league and All-Ireland Champions on home soil.
