Results from weekend of 27th September as Corofin finally dethroned

Several champions were dethroned over the weekend. Mountbellow/Moylough ended Corofin’s 49 unbeaten run in the Galway Football championship as they beat the holders and booked their place in the final. Ederney became champions in Fermanagh defeating defending champions Derrygonnelly in the footballer decider. Ballyboden St. Enda’s lost their crown to Ballymun in the Dubin football final. In Louth Naomh Mairtin became football champions for the first time. In hurling Easkey defeated holders Naomh Eoin in Sligo while Borris on Ossory Kilcotton knocked champions Rathdowney-Errill out of the Laois championship to advance to the final. In Kilkenny, Ballyhale Shamrocks march on with an easy county final win over Dicksboro, for an imperious 3 in a row.
