Sexton set for return

Johnny Sexton looks to have won his fitness battle and will line out in Sunday’s Six Nations meeting with Italy at the Aviva Stadium.
The Ireland captain missed the French defeat after picking up a hamstring injury in training just days before.
Joey Carberry started in place of Sexton in Paris. It was the Munster man’s first championship start. He was later replaced by Jack Carty in the 30-24 loss.
Last week Ireland Head Coach Andy Farrell indicated that Sexton would be back for selection for the Italy game. He said: “Johnny is going through his protocols, he joined in training. He is going through the end stages of rehab and we expect him to be fully fit next week.”
Sexton will speak to the press later this afternoon in his usual captain’s press conference.
