Sportstalk’s Cheltenham Panel pick their charity bets

Horse Racing

At Sportstalk’s recent Cheltenham preview our horse racing experts were given a €100 charity bet. The money won will go to The Injured Jockey Funds. The bet was kindly sponsored by Betdaq.
Our panel included Emmet Kennedy from The Final Furlong Podcast and Talksport, Johnny Ward – broadcaster and journalist, Katie Young who works at Gordon Elliott’s yard, Brian Gavin – racing pundit, Mikey Fogarty – jockey and Aaron McCarthy from Betdaq and Alan Budda Mangan.

Mikey tipped Dysart Dynamo. And will get the odds in whatever race he is running in.

Katie split the bet. She put €50 on Galvin for the Gold Cup and €50 on Pied Piper for the Triumph.

Johnny put his money on American Mike for the Bumper.

Emmet decided to do an accumulator. American Mike for the Bumper, Ginto for the Ballymore, Vanillier to win the National Hunt Chase. Flooring Porter in the Stayers and Tornado Flyer in the Gold Cup. Adagio in the Champion Hurdle. Win lucky 63. 18/50 each-way accum.

Brian did a €50 each-way double. Haut en Couleurs in the Arkle and Fastorslow in the County.

Buddha – Did a €25 euro trixie. Hillcrest for the Albert Barlett. Vauban for the Triumph and Brave Seasca for the Annual.
